The National Fleckvieh Show – the breeding highlight

At the National Fleckvieh Show on Sunday 115 Fleckvieh cows from all Austrian breeding organisations were presented in 18 groups.

The animals exhibited at the Federal Simmental Cattle Show came from 125 different Austrian breeding farms.

The genetic diversity of the Austrian Simmental cattle can also be expressed in figures. The 115 cows exhibited descended from 66 different sires.

The crème de la crème of Austrian Simmental cattle breeding was in the ring and in a true marathon Josef Zieglgänsberger, breeding director of Mühldorf and Pfaffenhofen, ranked the animals, which he visibly enjoyed.
